Time Will Tell

And so it begins. Ok so not yet technically but my mindset has initiated a travel-ready sequence. To top off a lovely evening on a yacht I opted to venture over to a Mexican wedding reception kicking off nearby. A few laughs, and Modelo Especials, later, I found myself succumbing to the excitement and newness of travel. I was in the zone. The next day began long before it ought to have and thus my only comfort was found in homemade linguica and eggs. Following breakfast we promptly set off for Catalina with some exceptional company: a troupe of dolphins, frequently making their presence known. I am content. The weather finally realized it was in California and warmed up after this shameful spring. It wasn’t long before I found myself wondering why I thought the water would be even tolerable…
Wrapping up at the Pacific Ocean means one great truth: I would be in South Africa very soon. While southern California has it’s indisputable charm, my mind was drifting to the unknown that is my South Africa journey. I have accumulated more money than I’d initially anticipated so the woes of financial instability are dissipating. Still unsure of where to stay and what to eat, my excitement is building. My biggest concern can easily be defined as rerouting my flight to D.C. Apparently my flight got jacked and not I, or my travel agent were notified of the change. Typing reduces the urge to shove a ball point pen into the jugular of the guy at the check-in desk. As if travel needed any more reasons to be stressful.
Time will tell whether or not these goons justify a cause for my imprisonment. Ciao for now.
